Today we walk through the cemetery, or kyrkogård as we call it, at the Katarina church on Södermalm. I worked around the corner from here many years ago, so I have walked through here many times before, but never with a camera. Top photo shows the grave of Gösta Ekman. One of Sweden's most beloved actors, and fantastic comedian. I have seen him on stage in the theater and also in countless movies and TV productions over the years. The headstone was designed by his wife, Marie-Louise Ekman. The second photo shows the memorial grove. There is a Summer café here so if you need a cup of coffee and a place to sit in the shade this cemetery could well be worth a visit.

This is a most charming cemetery. It would be a fine place to visit the tombs of loved ones.
