Crescent moon

November Moon Lilla Lillgården
Cycling home on Thursday afternoon in the pitch dark, I stopped on the bike path at the 700-year-old Nedersta farm for a photo of the moon over the trees. And then a couple of minutes later I stopped on another bike path close to the preschool Lilla Lillgården at Stav in Tunelsta for a another moon photo.

Rapsfält

Rapsfält
A blooming canola field. Photographed from the bike path at Nedersta yesterday afternoon. Belongs to the Nedersta Gård that dates back around 700 years. You have met the current farmer here on the blog a number of years ago, and I have shown you countless views from the farm. Oh, and the bridge to the right is Krigslidabron.

Mother moose and calves

Mother moose and calves
Cycling home yesterday, I spotted a moose family on a field belonging to Nedersta gård. I shot this from the bike path, I didn't want to scare them away. The cow had her eyes on a man at the other side of the field.

The Black Sheep

The Black Sheep
There's a new black sheep at the Nödesta farm. And it turns out that it is a very sociable sheep. I only had time to jump off the bike and take two photos before it ran towards me as happy as I have ever seen a sheep. Unfortunately my camera malfunctioned mid-shoot so I only got a couple of snaps. Luckily for me it is close to home so I will be sure to drop in again for more photos of the black sheep Bää.

The Red Stable

The Red Stable
A photo from my walk around Tungelsta two days ago. Much of the recent snow had melted but a sudden change in the weather had turned the landscape white again, this time with the help of the frost that covered everything. This is the little red stable at Nödesta Västergård that I tend to photograph every now and then. To see all the all photos of the stable feel free to press here.

The Magnificent Tree

Baa! The Magnificent Tree
Two photos of the magnificent tree. Taken just a few days apart. The tree used to stand next to a two Century old barn at the Nödesta farm, but a lot of snow and neglect helped that barn to collapse a few cold Winters ago.

The Magnificent Tree

The Magnificent Tree
The magnificent tree on a not so magnificent Winter day in January. There used to be a barn here at the Nödesta farm next to the tree. It was 150 years old and I enjoyed seeing and photographing it on my walks in the area, sadly it collapsed a few winters ago and if you have a good memory you might remember seeing the photos of that.

Wagon dumped in the stream

Wagon dumped in the stream The Old Wagon
The old barn at Nödesta, known locally as Guatemala collapsed a few Winters ago. It was around 200 years old. I liked the old barn and I have taken a few photos of it over the years. The farmer Janne, didn't own the land and the municipality didn't want to help him out with the old buildings, so it had to happen I guess. A company called Rivners removed what was left of the barn a couple of years later, but they left the stuff that had been left inside the barn. Then, last year Janne bought the farm from the municipality, but that doesn't really explain why he decided to dump one of the wagons in the nearby stream.

Canola Harvest

Rapsskörd
It seems a long time ago already, but it was just over two months ago that I showed you a blooming canola field at the Nödesta Västergård. Biking past the farm two days ago I noticed that the farmer was out with the combine harvester at that field so I stopped for a photo.
