Vanadislunden
We had some clever people in charge of Stockholm back in the 1880s. That is when it was decided to create a number of big green parks on hillsides around the city. This is one of them. Vanadislunden. The hill is Brunkebergsåsen. Part of a bigger esker that goes through Stockholm and all the way home to me. Before it became a park, it was a wetland called Ormträskhöjden. Back then, the area was nicknamed Siberia, as it was in the middle of nowhere. The name is still used today. There is an outdoor pool just below, very popular during the Summer. Also, a church here with my name. Stefanskyrkan. The park has a lot of green lawns and is a favorite for picnickers. I come here to look at the view and to photograph it, of course. Normally I will sit down on one of the benches for a bite to eat.
