The Troubled Poet
This is the headstone of the writer, artist and poet Sonja Åkesson. You can find it at the Woodland Cemetery in Enskede. Åkesson was born and raised on Gotland, before moving to Stockholm. She had a few different jobs, including working as a waitress. She became a household name in the 1960s. A true feminist. She was married three times, had five kids. Her most famous poem was called, the question of marriage. She passed away at the age of 51.

Thats too quick. Must have the max from living.
Rather peaceful- but that's typical of cemeteries.
Agreed,s.c. She passed away because of cancer.
This place is a bit special, William. I have read that a lot of cemeteries around the world have copied, or been inspired by, the Woodland Cemetery, and after spending quite a lot of time here I can understand why.
Lots of the old cemeteries here have very few trees. The trees add a bit of serenity to the resting place which is nice.
Such a serene scene.
Do you like her poems? I haven't looked them up yet, to see if they are translated.
Not my cup of tea, poetry, but it is always interesting to learn more about the people that were once here.
She sounds like she was a really cool person.
