Rock Cairn
Someone took the time stack stones by the side of the new walkway at Krigslida. This was yesterday. It had been replaced today with several lower less cool cairns.

I can see why it may not have lasted. It looks to have been a pretty delicate balance.
Well I'm very happy that you captured the 'cool cairn' so beautifully before it disappeared Steffe.. did you use a prime lense here?
It's not easy to build a cairn like that! Too bad someone had to take it down. Can you build a cairn?
It is often very windy here so maybe that was the reason for the collapse?
I did not Grace, but I used the macro feature on my Tamron zoom lens.
I guess I could give it a go Lowell!
You need a lot of patience for this.
Greetings,
Filip
I like these a lot. Someone took the time to put a gentle marker of his or her visit to a place. We have seen many in Death Valley and the wild coast of Washington State.
Nice sense of balance, Stefan.
There is a guy here who balances wrongs in the Ottawa River each summer. I have to go check it out sometime over the summer.
There is a guy that builds piles like this one with small rocks by the sea, but I do not know how he got the idea...
It is getting ready to topple . . .
