Skogs Ekeby Rune stone

The Photographers Shadow

For a thousand years people have travelled the old Skogs Ekeby road in Tungelsta. And all that time this rune stone has stood beside the road. The inscription reads: Vigils and Gerhjälm had this stone made after their brother Gudhjälm -björn cut the stone.

We found a smallish rune stone hidden in the ground at the cottage in the 1960's. It's nothing remarkable, probably something someone started and then abandoned. One side has been carved away to make a flat surface and there are something which looks like the beginning of some writing. Then the author probably started a blog and forgot about the entire stone project! ;)

I'm going to Sorunda for some rune stone spotting soon, they are everywhere there!
