That Old Tree

That Old Tree That old tree (Dec 25, 2005)
This was the scene at the old tree yesterday. It was snowing when I woke up, and that continued all day. The temperature was hovering around freezing, so the snow melted upon impact with the ground. This was my 400th photo of the Swedish Whitebeam since I started taking photos here. I have added the second ever photo I took of the tree, because that's when I started the series. I shot that on Christmas Day back in 2005 and I can still remember that promenade. A lot has happened with the tree since that day a decade ago and I still expect to see something different every time I visit the old tree.

I simply know that somewhere or other you have animated those 400 ... Quite a feat, Steffi, Onya.

Today in Sydney was 25C and sunny. Just sayin' ...

This is really an impressive accomplishment! I don't know if you saw my salute on ADP on 31 Oct.

I've enjoyed all your seasonal 'takes' on this wonderful subject.

Love this series, it never gets boring as the tree looks different each time. It has suffered quite a lot of damage in the period though, that's a shame.

She has really suffered some losses over the years.

The tree stands out magnificently today!

This is a favorite series of mine, Steffe. The old tree always looks great, and you have shown it in a wide variety of weather conditions. Unfortunately, this comparison shows that it has had some real damage in the past decade.

It sure had lost a lot of branches just prior to your second ever shot, Steffi. But has a good shape today ...

Wonderful to see the 'then and now'. Liking the idea of snow too.
