Roses are red
I guess this red rose has to be a repeat bloomer. No sunshine at all in November so I was surprised to find it in a flowerbed at an apartment building in Handen a couple of days ago. I walked into the flowerbed to get the close-up with the pancace lens which a guy that walked by thought was very funny. Be sure to shoot the mushroom as well was his advice. I didn't take him up on it as the fungi in question was smelly and very dead!

Well, I've not heard of the lens in question, but it sure does a great job! Super shot!
A gorgeous colour, Stefan.
Nice looking rose, Steffe.
And your iron-horse is where ... ???
Ha ha, you got me there Julie, I had parked the Steel Horse outside my favorite cafe.
You're reminding of stupid rhymes we boys would make up starting with "Roses are red, violets are..."
Some of them were rather nasty. Hey, we were 12.
Super shot of my fav summer flower, the pancake lens is so useful.
It's a 40mm prime lens from Canon Lowell. I have a flickr set here if you want to see some good photos I have taken with it.
12 was a good age!
I agree with you about the fungi, but the rose is glorious!
Rosor är tuffa så här på höstkanten. Du har lyckats med en riktig "crowd pleaser", rosen är klockrent avbildad och de obligatoriska vattendropparna förhöjer intrycket. Gott så.
At first I thought maybe it was frozen given your latitude. We still have a few left here as well, but we're in the balmy South compared to you. It's a terrific shot and find.
Nice color, and pleasing to see in the winter.
