Branching Out
Oaks are majestic trees. This one, at Skogs Ekebyvägen in Tungelsta is protected as a natural monument since 1945. The road itself is part of the old Häradsvägen that dates back many hundred years and it looks the same today as it did 400 years ago, minus the asphalt.

Gnarled and old; the snow on the branches always makes the season look so inviting.
I'm sure you're not surprised to hear that I love this shot !
Another wonderful old tree!
It is a majestic old tree. My hat is off to it.
So very pleased to hear that this tree is protected Steffe, I wish our Morten Bay Fig trees had been protected from our dreadful Premier!
