Time for a semla

It's that time of the year again
Back in the old days you weren't supposed to eat a semla before shrove Tuesday. I'm happy to report that those days are long gone. I bought my first semla of the year at my favorite cafe Malmens Konditori yesterday. In fact I bought two,the other one to my mother. And yes, they were tasty.

In Canada we would call it a Cream Puff. Regardless, it's yummy!

Did this one also have marzipan? Anything with marzipan wins me over!

Mouthwatering.

The same kind of decadence has arrived here with hot cross buns having gone on sale already in some places.

I just heard of a bakery doing Swedish treats here - I have to try one of these!

I hadn't heard of these so I looked it up. Sounds more complex than a North American cream puff. Please send some across the Atlantic.
