Heading home

Heading home
The bike path at Nederstaleden in Västerhaninge a couple of days ago. Worth the stop, I think. This very straight path follows the Nynäsbanan railway tracks from here to the next station, which is Krigslida. There is a bridge up ahead. I followed the construction of it quite a few years ago now.

Different Ways

Different Ways
The walkway to the right is kept free from snow and ice during the Winter. So you can easily run and cycle there. The one to the left, not so much. I took this photo which, is actually four photos stitched together, on my way home from the Rudan nature reserve earlier today. If you have a photographic memore of sorts you might remember that I snapped a very similar photo at this exact spot back in January.

A Christmas tree in the forest

A Christmas walk Julgris A Christmas tree in the forest Julstjärna Julhjärta
Cycling home yesterday, I decided to take the walkway/bike path that goes through the forest near the nature park Slätmossen, a place that I have shown you many times here on the blog. I still consider the walkway new, although it has been there for quite a few years now. It was constructed on top of a new fresh water pipeline, maybe a decade ago. It connects Handen with Jordbro, and it is a good shortcut. Not only that, it is also a good place to watch the local wildlife, I have met and photographed moose, roe deer, squirrels, and countless birds here over the years. But this was a bit unexpected. Someone decided to decorate a tree by the side of the walkway which gave me a few Christmas photos, so thanks for that!

A jogger or a runner?

A jogger or a runner?
A woman out running, or jogging, along the walkway at Nederstaleden in Västerhaninge on a varm November day. In the background, behind the noise barrier a building at the Håga industrial park.

November Mood

November
This is how I feel about November. Cold. Gray. Dark. I bike here most every day. The walkway between Västerhaninge and Nedersta follows the railway line Nynäsbanan and this is often a good spot if you enjoy biking against the wind, which I don't.

Pootography

Pootography
Horse back riding is strictly verboten on walkways in Sweden. This is the newest walkway in Tungelsta, at Stav. It follows a little meandering stream, Rocklösaån, and is popular with the locals, including the four-legged ones that shouldn't be there.

Great Scott!

Great Scott!
I borrowed my brothers bike yesterday, it's a Scott. Obviously it started to snow just as I started pedalling. It was around -7C when I took this snap at the newish walkway that goes along the railway line Nynäsbanan between Västerhaninge and Krigslida.

Disappearing Path

The Dissapearing Path III
Did I happen to mention in passing that November really isn't my favorite month? The disappearing path is a newish shortcut between Handen and Jordbro.

Bicycle Art

Bicycle Art Sidewalk Art
More and more sidewalk art in Haninge these days. Kids using their crayons to colorize the walkways and bike paths. Found this work of art at the Disappearing Path a few days ago.

Hashtag of the day

#Purjolök
The local graffiti amateurs seems to have run out of ideas and have now turned to hashtags. This one is a little odd as purjolök means leek. I found it on the bike path that follows the Nynäsbanan's rail-track between Västerhaninge and Krigslida. I tried my best to art up the photo so this is three photos stitched together. Shot with the pancake lens at f/2.8.
