A finished project

Stavsvägen
I started photographing this building site project,Södra Tungelsta just as the construction got under way. Looks like it is finished now. It took a few years. Colorful row houses. A pre-school. Apartment building. Retirement home. New school. And more. The newest houses are the one furthest away btw.

Twilight

Twilight
Cycling home one afternoon it was getting dark so I stopped for a photo at Stav/Lillgården in Tungelsta. This is the area with the new row-houses and more, that I have been photographing since the construction began.

Lillgården

Lillgården
The last phase of the new construction of this area at Lillgården, in Tungelsta is nearly finished. I have been following it since the start, back in 2014. The newest of the row houses are the ones to the very left. Before they started the construction there was a forest here, (not to worry, it is still there, just a tad smaller), and also an allotment. So they moved the allotment over to the other side of the street next to the new pond from where I snapped this photo.

New row-houses

New row-houses Winter Mist
Two photos from the row-house construction at Lillgården in Tungelsta. Built by the local company Turbinen. I took the first photo with my Canon, 77D and a 70-300mm zoom lens. I snapped the second scene with my Canon 6D. It is a nine photo panorama shot with my Sigma 50mm lens. I believe this is the last phase of the construction here, they are still working on the school that you can see to the right under the crane. But, and it is a big but, just to the right of this view, the construction of what can only be described as a small city block got under way last week. I will show photos from that area every now and then from now on.

A successful project

Under Construction Terraced house
The local construction company Turbinen have been very busy building homes, schools and what have you during the last decade or so. Many of them in and around Haninge. Based here in Tungelsta they have bought a lot of land over the years. Some of their planned projects never happened, including the two ideas to build first a golf course, and then a horse racing track over at my old tree! This project at Lillgården in Tungelsta is one of the more successful projects. They even won an architectual award for it. I have been photographing it since the first bulldozers showed up, back in October of 2014. Photos can be seen in a flickr set called Stav 1:38. Now they have started the third and final phase of construction here with the last bunch of terraced houses.

December

December
I can't remember when I last saw the sun. Looking at the weather forecast, it says gray skies, and when I say gray skies, I mean really really gray skies for the next ten days. This was the scene at Kolonilottsvägen in Lillgården a few afternoons ago.

Bulldozer&Excavator

Excavator Bulldozer
Looks like the bulldozer and the excavator are here to stay. They have been parked on the field opposite the new row houses at Lillgården in Tungelsta for quite a while now. It looks a bit like an installation I think.

A Winter Sunset

A Winter Sunset
Cycling home earlier in the week I stopped for a photo of the colorful sunset at the new row-houses at Lillgården in Tungelsta. I had the 60mm lens on the Canon 77D body, so I had to shoot it as a panorama. This is twelve photos stitched together.

Foggy Day
The fog rolled this afternoon after last nights rain. Not too cold, a few degrees above zero. Stopped for a photo of the colorful row houses at Lillgården in Tungelsta. Read somewhere that they were up for a second architectural award.

Roundabout

Roundabout
Roundabout here is where they are building a new "rondell" along Stavsvägen in Tungelsta an area with many new houses still under construction. Shot this as an extreme shallow depth of field photo by stitching together multiple photos taken with the Sigma macro lens.

Pootography

Pootography
Horse back riding is strictly verboten on walkways in Sweden. This is the newest walkway in Tungelsta, at Stav. It follows a little meandering stream, Rocklösaån, and is popular with the locals, including the four-legged ones that shouldn't be there.

Trottoar

Trottoar
Swedish word of the day. Trottoar. Construction of a sidewalk, (or pavement if you like), and a roundabout, by the construction company Turbinen along Stavsvägen at Lillgården in Tungelsta. The new living area is just to the right.

export.snowdrift.replacement

Äggröra.Vikbar.Givetvis
I tried unsuccessfully to find the address for this new apartment building at Lillgården in Tungelsta. When that didn't work I used the satellite view at what3words and came up with this. It is not totally accurate as the satellite images at both flickr and what3words are not up to date.

Weather Update

Weather Update
The traffic sign for Road Work Ahead and a lot of snow made for a good Winter photo. As seen at the new park in Tungelsta few snowy days ago.

Takstege

Takstege
I always have one eye open for details. Like here. The new row houses at Lillgården. I noticed this roof ladder a while back and figured it would make for a good photo, so the next time I was there I snapped this photo.
