Wall & Window

Concrete Kranbil
This will be a multi-dwelling unit when they are done with 141 apartments called Södertuvan. At the moment the construction workers are busy fitting in all the big concrete blocks. From Tuvvägen in Handen. And I'm sure it will look more colorful when people have moved in. Second photo is a panorama made from six photos, shot with the nifty fifty, I had to wait for traffic between shots.

Stairway

Concrete Stairs
This ugly concrete stair is older than it might look. Back in the day people walked up and down here to the old commuter station in Handen. A new station opened in the mid 1970s a little further south. If you click this link and scroll down a bit you can see both the old station house and the stairs in a photo taken back in 1970 from the little beach that I stood on the other day shooting that fine Autumn reflection photo.

Brutal Design

Brutal Design
The most brutal park bench I have found on my photo excursions around Haninge. And it is facing the wrong way, away from the soccer court/basketball court.

Geometric Beauty

Steel Pattern

If you walk up the stairs that I showed you yesterday you will see this. Behind the concrete walls of the stairs is a parking garage, and this is one of the windows, shot from below. I can't say that I am a fan of concrete buildings, but it's nice to see that the architect decided to add some geometric beauty (and a splash of color), to the garage building.

The Concrete Producer

The Concrete Producer

Concrete is the most common building material in the world. LB stands for Luja Betong which is a finnish concrete company . This is their Jorbro plant. They are probably making a lot of money these days as there's building sites all over Haninge as I have shown you before. I couldnt shoot my photo from the same vantage point as they did on their website but I still like it.
