I find it odd, biking in winter conditions.
As long as the bike path is snow and ice free, there are no issues. You just need to dress for it. Many riders use Winter tires, but I ride with my normal tires.
A lot of people are biking in your area which is a good thing. There were a lot of cyclists heading by my place yesterday during a light snow storm. Most with regular tires.
