The traffic sign says, that despite this being a one way street, you can cycle up the hill. I am yet to try that. I parked my bike over at the Slussen metro station. This is Brännkyrkagatan at Mariaberget on Södermalm in Stockholm. It goes between Pustegränd and Kristinehovsgatan. Same place as in yesterday's post. This part is called Besvärsbacken. The slope is Stockholm’s steepest street, with an incline of 22%. Back in the day, it was often used for break tests.

I used to drive buses. In the winter the downhill roads were icy. Sometimes I had to maneuver buses going sideways downhill. It was tricky but I never damaged a bus.
Hay que tener buenas piernas , para subir en bicicleta esa dura cuesta. también me lo pensaría mucho de subirla andando. La nieve que hay en el suelo, puede provocar un buen resbalón. La ciudad en la que vivo es bastante llana y las pocas cuestas que hay en ella, no tiene gran desnivel.
I sometimes visit the lookout point Monteliusvägen which is up this street and to the left. When I was there last month I had one hand on the railing for most of the walk as it was ice everywhere.

Biking down it would be treacherous.
That is a very steep street. A good way to exercise those leg muscles.
It must be fun in winter.
Definitely a challenge to walk or bike, up or down that street.
