Winter in Sweden

Winter in Sweden

We got around ten centimetres of snow last Monday. Since then there's been a few warm days and most of the snow is already gone. I took a photo promenade on Sunday and this was the scene at Söderbyvägen in Tungelsta. New and old houses painted with the typical Falu red paint makes for a good contrast against the disappearing snow.

I have to say this ALMOST conforms to my view of winter in Sweden....but you have explained the snowmelt In my mind's eye it would need to be on the tree branches and half way up the buildings - and I am sure it often is!

Almost no more snow, huh? Well, this is the kind of "almost no more snow" that sends Parisians into a frenzied panic! ;-)

The reds are magnificent; and you framed the scene perfectly!

The winters in Stockholm these days are very different from when I was a kid. Less snow and more grey weather, but then once in a while we do get some snow. I really hope the all the Parisians can take this! Glad you like my photo Adriano and Jacob.

Good photo. Quite a good contrast seeing the red buildings against the white snow. Your winter weather is also quite a contrast to our summer weather here at the moment.
