The Royal Guard
Two photos from yttre borggården at the Royal Palace in Stockholm. The Royal Guard looked a bit cold I think. When my brother did his mandatory military service, he spent some of his time here at the Royal Palace, and he was in charge of the soldiers wellbeing as they protected the palace. The second photo is the same view just photographed further back to show the facade. The architect was Nicodemus Tessin den yngre.

Cold job.
I always enjoy your photos Stefan. In the summer when it is hot I have seen the guards pass out.
That does look like a very cold job right now.
That looks very cold, I wonder how long he has to stand there without moving.
Incredible architecture.
The shifts are two hours long. Then they are free for four hours, before the next shift starts.
Yes, quite impressive, the view from across the water is a good one.
That is a wonderful facade.
There is a lot of lines, and the royal guard is surreal standing there
Poor guy standing in the cold, but two hours will do.
