Gubben
This is "Gubben". He is made of wood. He spends his days standing on a shelf at Bergdalen, where he has lived all his life. My dad carved him into life from dried wood sometime back in the 1940s. Gubben doesn't get around much, he is a lazy old fart, but I have asked him to tag along on my bike rides around Haninge this year, so maybe that is about to change now.

I like the story ... Happy New Year.
He looks grouchy!
I'm reminded of a style of wood carving done here- human figures done looking like they're out of the past and rather whimsical.
Woodcarving seems to be a Scandinavian tradition. I like this old fart. My mother knew a woodcarver in northern Minnesota and he gave her a beautiful duck he had carved. I wonder what happened to that?
He looks like he could use some fresh air.
He is in for some adventures this year!
He doesn't look all that pleased at the prospect - or maybe he just doesn't like having his photo taken. I know a few people like that!
He looks like he could use some stimulation. Perfect DOF.
Gubben doesn't look too enthusiastic about your new plan Steffe 😀
