Tree Lined Avenue

Still Green
This is one of those places that I always return to with my camera. The tree lined avenue leading op to the 700-year old farm at Nödesta. One or two leaves have changed colors, but green is still the dominating color.

Tree Lined Alley

Tree Lined Alley
I often photograph this tree lined alley at the Nödesta farm. It is quite photogenic in both Summer, Autumn and Winter as I have showed you here over the years. This is how it looks at the moment. No sign of any green here just yet so I will probably check in again soon.

Winter Road

Winter Road

We had one warm day this last weekend. And a clear blue sky. Some of the snow started to melt away. Then we had a cold night, and this morning it was ice everywhere. On the roads. On the sidewalks and pretty much everywhere else. If I feel like it I might try and shoot some ice scenes today. This photo shows the tree lined avenue that leads up to the 700 year old Nödesta farm.

Misty Road

Misty Road

Remember that Autumn Avenue I showed you back in September? Here it is once again, and it sure looks a bit different this time around. To see all photos from the Nödesta Farm press here.

The Double Perspective

The Double Perspective

The very narrow birch alley at Söderby in Handen. The left photo shows the upward path toward the old estate, and the right half the same path from the top looking down. No idea who planted the trees like this, and why, but it's a nice alley to walk through, and perfect for this months theme which is Perspective.

Professionals at Work

Arborist at Work

Spot the Arborist

I have never used a chainsaw in my life. There's professionals you can hire for that sort of thing. Like the ones here at Hammar in Tungelsta. These guys are arborists, or tree surgeons, if you like that title better. There's lot of construction work going on around Hammar at the moment with the new rail-track, the bridge over the commuter station, and the work on the road that passes by the estate. I'm guessing that the Swedish Transport Administration have hired these guys to fix Charlotte's 200 year old tree lined avenue. She had to sell some of her property and I think the STA have promised her that they would help her with the impressive entrance.

Winter vs. Autumn

Winter vs. Autumn

Time for another post in my series Different Seasons. This is the tree lined avenue leading up to the Nödesta farm. The left half of the diptych shows how the avenue looked yesterday. It snowed a bit, but it wasn't very cold. The right half of the photo dates back to October 10th.

Autumn Avenue

Autumn Avenue

The tree lined avenue leading up to the old Nödesta farm is rapidly changing it's colors. I pass by here almost every day so I notice every change. In a few days time all the leaves will be gone.

That Fall Feeling

That Fall Feeling

This is the tree lined avenue in Lida. As Autumn is approaching the leaves are slowling changing their color. The trees along this road were planted 200 years ago by the owner of the Hammar Estate. I have shown you this road a few times before.

Skywatch Friday.

The Old Avenue

Down the avenue

One of two tree lined avenues at Lida in Tungelsta. Two hundred years ago Frans G Upmark bought the land here and built the Hammar residence. He also planted the trees for the two avenues. Today I often meet the current owner, Charlotte (an ancestor to Frans), when she comes walking down the road. The avenue, made of Populus trees is seven hundred meters long and ends near the residence. If you read this blog regularly (and who doesn't?), you will have seen the other avenue a few times by now.

Tree Lined Avenue

Tree Lined Avenue
A photo from the weekend. On my way to the folk music festival at Ekeby Loge in Tungelsta I had to stop here and take a photo. It's downhill all the way through this tree lined avenue. If you look real hard you can see a car coming towards me.

Bigger photo.
