Snowman

Snowman
The new year got underway with a snowstorm named Anna. We got a dusting and it was snowing as I headed out. Not very cold, around freezing, but a little too much blowing snow, so I cut my promenade short. I spotted this snowman at Hammarbergsvägen.

The obligatory snowman

Snögubbe
Cycling past a man made mound at Ribby in Västerhaninge, that serves as a sound barrier, I realised that I was yet to photograph a snowman this Winter so I decided to sort that. I snapped this two days ago when we did have snow. Yesterday the temperature rose to 7C, and most of the snow melted away. Then, yesterday afternoon we had a very colorful sunset and someone pointed out that a storm were coming and it has been very windy ever since.

Snögubbe

Snögubbe
Swedish word of the day. Snögubbe. As seen across the road from Coop in Tungelsta earlier in the week.

The Snowman

Snowman
It was -10C on the morning when I took this photo a few days ago. And enough snow to make a snowman at Villavägen in Västerhaninge. Warmer weather since, so he might not live for very much longer. Happy New Year!

The Armless Snowman

Beach Dude
Took a bike ride to my favorite beach Årsta Havsbad the other day. The beach and the grassy hill were covered with a thin layer of snow. Walking back and forth my hands were soon ice cold from the ocean wind, (can't wear gloves and take pictures). Half way up the snowy hill I met this armless snowman. He told me that it had been a tough weekend with kids skiing down the hill but he hoped to be around for a little while longer.

Temporary Sculpture

Temporary Sculpture
Noticed this temporary artwork in the Eskil's park yestoday. It was created by an unknown artist two days ago and it will soon be history.

Melting Snowman

Melting Snowman
It was a short snow season this time around. Most of the snow is gone now. Found this melting snowman on a lawn at Krigslida a couple of days ago. We have had "töväder" (Thaw-weather), for nearly two weeks now.

Stylish and Dirty

Stylish and Dirty

Spotted this stylish snowwoman standing outside an apartment building in Handen today. I asked her for a portrait and complimented her on her scarf, but she just gave me a cold look.
