Keeps Your Head Warm

If you own a fine convertible you obviously have to use it. No matter the weather. Driving with the hood down can be a chilly experience in Sweden but there are ways around that. You can do like this fellow did in his Jaguar. Might not be the sexy look he is going for, but it will keep his head warm.

The Red Amazon

You know that it is Summer when Gerry takes out his convertible for a spin. The Volvo Amazon that he has rebuilt himself turned fifty years old recently. When we met this time Gerry was getting ready to drive it to the vehicle inspection.This is a Brenizer method photo. Umpteen photos shot with the 85mm lens at f/1.8. I aimed at the right head light turned off auto focus and started shooting.

A Summer Ride

If you live in a climate with long and cold winters, and you own a convertible, you better use it. A woman out riding with her young son drove up to the cafe in this Pontiac Firebird. As she sat down for a chat with her friends, I told them that I would shoot a few cool Brenizer style shots of the car.

Mercedes-Benz 190SL

I was eating pancakes on the veranda when this 1957 Mercedes-Benz 190SL drove up the road and parked outside one of the greenhouses at Blomorado. Bigger photo. The owners had their leather helmets on, and I knew it was time for a photo shoot. The driver told me that he was always working on the car, and only took it out from the garage during the summer month. Summer Driving

This is a 1964 Amazon. Volvo never made a convertible from the Amazon so Gerry customized it back in 1990. It has been featured in a swedish magazine, Bilsport a few years ago. He only drives it in the summer time of course. I passed by his garage as he was leaving and stopped and asked if I could take a few photos. He gladly approved and as the car lover he is, then told me everything about it and if I hadnt stopped him he would still be talking...
