Burnt Out Car

Burnt Out Car
One of my favorite songs. Burnt Out Car with Saint Etienne works well here. As seen at the parking lot at the medieval church in Österhaninge a couple of days ago.

Stolen, dumped and torched

Stolen, dumped and torched
This stolen, dumped and torched car has been parked at the commuter station in Tungelsta for a couple of weeks now. I have reported it to both the municipality and to the Swedish Transport Administration.

Fail of the day

Fail of the day
Whenever I see a stolen and dumped car I usually inform the municipality about it. I did so a little over a week ago when I had seen a Volvo being smashed up at a shopping centre but that car (link), is still there. This car stands at the Industrial area in Jordbro. At a bus stop. Owned by a woman who lives not far from here (thank you Internet). It's been there for at least one week now. This photo was supposed to be a quality bokeh panorama, made from photos taken with the nifty fifty, but when I stitched the photos I realised that I had missed one photo! But as I am sure the car is still there I could always try again...

Welcome!
Welcome to Haninge Golfhall. We offer indoor golf. We have a popular driving range. You can also practice your putting skills and enjoy a nice lunch at the restaurant. And if you are a car thief, feel free to dump your stolen vehicles in our nice surroundings.

Glenn's Construction Service

GlennS Byggservice
Looks like Glenn could be in financial difficulties. Or at least in need of a new car to his business GlennS Byggservice. Found at the Håga industrial area yesterday.

Welcome to Tungelsta

Free Parking

Parking at the Inn

Out of Business

Tungelsta is growing fast. Many new houses have been built here over the last few years. A new rail-track is planned and roads and bridges for that are under construction at the moment. But, if you own a car and need to stop at the gas station, that's not going to happen. The only gas station closed when the last owner went into personal bankruptcy. The property is now for sale, but I'm guessing that no one is going to buy it if they were to look at the place today (I shot these photos earlier today). But if you are planning to stop at the Tungelsta Inn (that's the blue building), you can of course find free parking at the old filling station!

Car Wreck

Car Wreck

A few weeks ago I met the new owners to a property in Tungelsta. The old house that they had bought has always fascinated me. Over the years I have heard some rumours about the place and now I had a chance to look inside. But before we go in I want show you what was parked behind the house. It's a car wreck. The car is from the 1930ths. How long it's been rusting away there is anyone's guess, but I would have to say 40 or 50 years.

burned-out car

Every week I find one or two stolen, crashed and vandalized car on my bike rides around Haninge. looks like it's a new sport among the young and stupid. This one can be seen at the ancient grave field in Jordbro.
