The Meditation Hill
Back at Skogskyrkogården. This is The Meditation Hill. Not sure if that is the official English name, but that is what I call it. The Swedish name is Almhöjden. A direct translation would be The Elm Hill. It is from the top of that hill that the 888-meter-long Seven Wells path starts. It ends at a chapel, btw. Not too many people here during my visit, but I did spot a few early tourists. Oh, and there are signs in Swedish warning visitors about the No Winter Maintenance. The stairs are named after one of the two architects to this UNESCO World Heritage Site. They were 30 years old when they designed the cemetery. Both of them are buried at the cemetery.

It is a pretty place. But I can imagine that if those steps are ice-covered without handrails, it could be a nasty fall.
Looks like a place to sacrifice something for the alter
Nice those stairs but indeed better without ice and snow.
