Riddarholmen
There are four good places high up on Södermalm where you can get a good view over Stockholm. I try to visit all of them a few times every year with my cameras. Here I parked my bike at Mariatorget and walked over to Monteliusvägen on the Mariaberget hill, where you are never alone, as there's always someone there looking at the view. No one lives at Riddarholmen today, but there are a number of Government institutions there. The big ship is called Mälardrottningen. Today a hotel and restaurant. The big building to the right is the former Parliament building. The church with its unique spire is Riddarholmskyrkan where a number of Swedish kings are buried.
