IKEA-style Christmas tree at Skeppsbrokajen in Gamla stan. Biking past there yesterday, I noticed that they had started assembling the tree. Paid for by Kinnevik, a tradition started 26 years ago by the late Jan Stenbeck, and continued today thanks to his daughter Christina. It was a very warm November with 14C. I took this photo from Skeppsholmen.

It is a funny Christmas tree, very different!
It will look a bit more like a real Christmas tree when they are done. And I will show that to you in a few weeks time.
There is something similar here, but hasn't been done yet.

No. They cut down several big trees owned by Bergvik skog. And then create this huge tree on site.
Am indeed curious to see how it looks off with that tree.
I've never seen a tree assembled like this except for the fake ones. Very interesting.
Ah. You were the same temperature as here in Texas....we are 10-15 degrees F below the average. And it will persist for a while they say. A very tall Christmas tree is to come there!
Never heard of a composite of real trees. Ours may be going up soon but it's just a single plant. It is in the city center and since I don't go there for work anymore I should go check it out.
Funny to see the tree started from top all the way down by the looks of it. That is going to be a giant tree!
