Midas

Midas
Mälartorget, Gamla stan. A building from 1740. Photographed with my trusted old Canon 77D, from Monteliusvägen on Södermalm, above Söder Mälarstrand so quite a long way away. Nice with a 480 mm zoom sometimes. Today an apartment building with 49 homes. Back in the day, there were three sugar refineries here. In the 1970s, plans were in motion to demolish this building. Luckily, that never happened.

It still is gold.

I love the way you have framed this shot. You do such a great job of defining the patterns in buildings.

Looks beautiful! I still kept the ultra old Canon 20D, can you believe it?

Why not. The best camera is always the one you have with you.

The building has an unexpected grace and symmetry for its age. I'm surprised about the sugar refineries. My father spent his career ind the commercial sugar business and the refineries I knew about looked nothing like that. Good job with the telephoto avoiding lens distortion.
