Last weeks top story in Sweden was the gang-related murder of the 19-year-old rapper, Einár, Nils Einar Grönberg, outside his home in Hammarby Sjöstad. He grew up here at Dalen, where I took this photo, the day after his murder. Later in the day, people gathered here to mourn his death. He was as they say, huge on Spotify with millions of streams, but I for one had never heard his music, although I had read a lot about him. He was kidnapped a year or so ago, and another rapper was later convicted for that crime.

Nice street scene. Sadly the same thing happening here with the guns and murders.
Scary stories. Very disconcerting. Does not sound the Scandinavia most of think of.
It's not my kind of music, admittedly, and it seems violence is part of that genre.
