Pearl, or no pearl

Lagoon cockle Pearl, or no pearl Hjärtmussla
Beachcombing at Årsta Havsbad. Well, not really, I didn't expect to find any pearls or anything. But while strolling in the sand I did find a few very small shells washed up on the beach for me to photograph with the help of the extension tubes and the Nifty Fifty. This could be what we call Hjärtmussla, Lagoon cockle, an edible salt-water clam, but I am only guessing. We had a very gray day in Haninge today. And it did of course start to rain while I was shooting these photos.

I like the detail of the shell.

Because of you, I could almost start hearing voices in the past praising a gray, rainy and cool day at the beach. They were my children, of course, all of them sailing aficionados. I could never agree with them about their kind of weather......
Thanks for the photo of that cute shell. What a little marvel of nature.

We have something like this, but I am not sure it is the same shell...

Beautiful soft bokeh in these images Steffe.. I like to think there was absolutely a pearl to be found here :)

Oh I think you found some pearls. Maybe not necessarily the round ones.
