An optical and meteorological phenomenon

Rainbow
I had just shot the old tree when the light suddenly shifted. When I turned around it was hard to miss the rainbow over the railway tracks at Krigslida. I wonder if there's a pot of gold hidden somewhere at the end of that rainbow? If so I might use some of that gold to buy a rain poncho as it started to rain hard just a few seconds after I took this photo. Arriving home ten minutes later on the steel horse I was soaking wet.

An experience not uncommon here in the Netherlands. Hope you will find gold in the form of a nice rain poncho.

Beautiful! We've had a couple of rainbows in the last two weeks, but both times I didn't have a camera with me.

Wonderful rainbow! Riding the steel horse in the rain is not much fun, I agree.

It's not fun to get caught in the rain but you should feel some satisfaction: you came home with a stunning shot. This is really gorgeous!

Your rainbow is bright and clear. Nice!

Great shot. I like the way the area where the rainbow ends seems to glow. Must be the reflection from all that gold.
