My brother-in-law had a large '73 Chevy truck like this not long ago. Last weekend he bought a 1-ton Ford truck with a 7 liter engine. He is one of those people who needs a big truck.
I think there's a subliminal message there somewhere Steffe :)
To compensate for other 'little things'?
That is big!
What a way to drive down memory lane. I don't know the cost of gas there, but I wouldn't want to "feed" one of these things in France. Actually, not even in the US. That's a great shot you got of it.
I see way too many of these on the streets of Phoenix.
That's the sort of vehicle you'll hear coming from a long way off.
Impressive, but a bit too much for my taste...
This is the kind of vehicle that makes us laugh in Paris. He wouldn't even be able to get into some of the narrower Paris streets... :-)
I thought big vehicles was a uniquely U.S. thing. Somehow I rather like seeing that it's more universal, though they're not terribly practical as a "pleasure" vehicle.
So American. How can the owner afford to fill the tank in Europe?
That is a very good question Bob. I'm guessing he only drives it every now and then.
