That Old Tree

That Old Tree

That Old Tree from steffe on Vimeo.

Two weeks ago I decided to test a new online tool. It is called Pummelvision and with this fun toy you can make videos using your own photos. If you have a flickr account you can easily make a video from a set, and that is what I did with my 230 photos of the old tree. People seemed to like the video and a few days ago ABC World News from New York asked me if they could show my video in a piece about Pummelvision. Oh, and the latest photo of the tree is from yesterday.

You are famous! Just wondering if you have ever shot it from the other side - will have to check out the video to see.

Congratulations, Steffe. Pummelvision is a pretty cool tool. It was interesting to see it in the ABC interview and think "Hey, I know all about that tree . . ."

Pummelvision, crazy name but made brilliant by Steffe's Old tree of Haninge.
Great work

Mmm ... may I be a pain? I think I prefer to look at each photo separately, and take my time.

I think it's great fun, this pummelvision, particularly using your tree photos. And congratulations on making the national news!

I love, love, LOVE this! I'm a big fan of your recurring shots, and this was a really fun way to see them for this scene.

hihihi, i also think that pummelvision is a weird name. i guess... you could translate "pummel" (dutch) into doofus (american, apparently)... :)
other than that, the question what the tree looks like from behind is an excellent one!! i never thought about that... but now im wondering about that too!

I think I have one or two photos of the tree taken from the other side. My flickr friend Jim took one such snap a few years ago and you can see that if you press here.

That is so cool that ABC contacted you. But the inventor says at one point "If you looked at any one moment of that tree, it might not be interesting." Boy, is he wrong, as all your tree photo lovers can attest.

He sure is Jude. Those tech guys can be a bit simple minded!
