This is Sara. One of the priests in the Västerhaninge-Muskö parish. I met her at the Medieval Västerhaninge Church on Tuesday. And when I noticed her modern outfit I decided I had to take a portrait of her. Sara comes from Handen. She has a twelve year old daughter. Her hobbies include painting and playing classical music on her piano. Sara told me that she has been a priest for four years. The reason for my visit to the church was that I wanted to climb up the tower and have a look at the great view from up there. Unfortunately that wasnt possible on my visit as the man responsible for the tower was elsewhere. And that was probably for the best, as just a few minutes after I took this photo it started to rain and a thunderstorm quickly followed. And I know that the tower has been hit by lightning on at least one occasion

Anyway, as far as I know, we do not have any priest in Stavanger looking as good as her.
We do have quite a lot of Swedish people working here..... but unfortunately not as priests.
All priests should look like this. It would increase congregation sizes everywhere. Great portrait again Steffe.
What a great photograph. Your gallery of portraits really covers such a broad spectrum of humanity. They are always, always interesting. That sounds like some divine intervention that kept you out of the lightning-prone tower during the storm.
I think the Man responsible for the tower was much higher up than the tower itself.

Thanks all. I'm sure Sara will be pleased with this response when she looks at the photo. That's a funny show Paul, I have seen it on BBC and on a Swedish channel as well.I never go to church Leif, I'm probably the least religious person on the planet. But I know a good portrait when I see one!

Our local vicar is also female, blonde and charming, but nowhere near as funky as Sara appears to be.

Does Sweden have a national church? I believe in Finland it is Lutheran.
