Disappearing Path

Disappearing Path
I use this bike path sometimes. It goes between Jordbro and Handen close to the Slätmossen nature park. For many years it was just a tiny path through the woods. Then a few years ago construction started on a pipe-line for drinking water, and the forest was cleared here, and when the pipe-line was done the path was eventually paved. So now you can walk, run or bike on the pipe-line!

That Old Tree

That Old Tree
Another Winter walk to the old tree. The overall colors are different from my last visit/photo, but the amount of snow seems to be the same. A few degrees below zero on this my three hundred and sixty-second visit to the old tree.

That Old Tree

That Old Tree

I heard on the news last night that we can expect some snow in the next 24 hours or so. This was the scene over at the old tree earlier today. Someone from the Mulsta horse farm have been here with a saw. But they have only cut off a part of the broken tree branch. I tried lifting it myself, but it is stuck and also very heavy.

The Meandering Path

The Bike Path

I use this bike path on a daily basis. It is a shortcut between Jordbro and Västerhaninge. The road dates back to the Viking Era. It meanders through an old burial ground with 800 graves from 500 B.C, and a nature reserve called Gullringskärret. If you continue down the path you will see a horse farm.

The path in the forest

Yellow Corridor

On my way to the library in Västerhaninge yesterday I took a shortcut through the birch forest at Håga. If this looks familiar to you, it's because you have seen one of my A Photo A Week projects. For one year I stopped here on a weekly basis for a photo. If you would like to see more, try this post from February with all four seasons. To see all the photos as a slideshow press here.

Four Seasons

4 Seasons

Theme Day. Paths and Passages. Every week for one year I stopped and took a photo here at this path in Håga. It's a shortcut through a small birch forest. Very popular with joggers and dog owners (and there's a pet cemetery around the corner). My routine was to set up the shot and wait a few minutes. If no one walked by I would have to make due with the path. Luckily for me I managed to get a few passers-by to pose for me during that year. Here are four photos showing the four seasons of the year in a little collage. If you want to have a look at all 53 photos you can see a slideshow here.

A path in the forest

The Path (July 24th)

Time for another look at the Path in the Forest. It's a shortcut at Håga in Västerhaninge. Popular among dog owners as you can see here. This time I met and talked to two dogs and their owners. I have met one of the dogs before. Best viewed as a slide show.

Back at the path again

The Path (June 5th)

An apple a day keeps the doctor away. Combined with a brisk walk through the forest at Håga it will also keep you fit, and in a good mood, as proven here with a woman out on a summer promenade. Bigger photo.

My 35th photo from this shortcut through the forest. Best viewed as a slideshow.

Spring Path

The Path (April 23th)

A woman walking down the path in the forest between Håga and Nederstaleden in Västerhaninge, that now finally has a spring feeling to it, as you can see a few wood anemones. I take a photo here every week and will do so for one year. This was the 29th photo. Best viewed as a slideshow.

Lisa the boxer

The Path (March 6th)

This weeks photo from the path in the forest. For the second time since I started this project I met Lisa the boxer and her owner out walking along the path. The path is a shortcut between Håga and Nederstaleden in Västerhaninge. Very popular with the dogs and people who work at the Håga Industrial area. Just around the corner from here there's an area with birch trees where you will find a pet cemetery.

A shortcut through the forest

The Path (October 14th)

Some more autumn colors today. This is a path I often walk (and ride my bike on). It's a shortcut through the forest between Håga and Västerhaninge. Just up ahead after a left, and then, a right turn, you will find the pet cemetery among some birch trees.
