Blockhusudden
The most eastern part of Djurgården is called Blockhusudden. In Medieval times, it was an island on its own. The name Blockhusudden refers to a fortification built here during the rein of Gustav Vasa. It was no more than 200 years ago that people started building houses here. Most of them were/are very stately, owned by bankers and what have you, and that hasn't changed either.

It looks gorgeous especially in that sunshine.
The fortification looks really unique and special. Great autumn scenes!
