There are not many old wooden houses left in Handen today. And soon one more will be gone. It's nothing special about this one at the corner of Dalarövägen and Söderbymalmsvägen. I just like the colors and the windows. I had to shoot this photo through a fence. Construction of the new building that will stand here in a not too distant future have already begun. And I bet you can never guess what that will be.

The colours on this one are nice.
Something along the lines of an ugly retail shop will no doubt replace it.
This one has a certain charm. In most parts of the USA that have wooden houses, the trim would be white and any colors would be on the siding. This reverses our pattern.
There is a fine line between what is what worth preserving and what should be replaced.
It's too bad this classic has to go. Please don't tell me it's going to be another Starbucks.

Believe it or not they are going to build a Mormon chapel here.
