Stearinljus
I don't like November. Dark and gloomy and cold. We use a lot of stearinljus this time of the year. This is from a recent sitting at my favorite cafe Malmens konditori. Shot with the nifty fifty at f/1.8 which means that it is impossible to see the guy cleaning the windows at the eatery at Vikingaplan.

Beautiful out of focus background...
You have set the mood for the days ahead here in England.
I complain about the dark here in Boston Massachusetts. I left work EARLY at 5:30pm last night in the pitch dark and it distressed me. Your Stearinljus is just what i needed in my office window. but no open flames at our desks.
Here's to solstice and the turning of the days. 40 or so days from now...
I love November precisely for these reasons...
Love the Depth of Field. Quite inspirational Stef. I must give this a try.
That's a beautiful, evocative photo. But what is stearinjus? The candle?
This is wonderful. I need to put my own nifty fifty back on the camera and wander around for a while.
Stearinljus means candle in Swedish. No matter if it is made of Paraffin wax, or anything else.
Sublime bokeh Steffe!
Lovely atmospheric, November is my fave month in Sydney.
c'est très joli!
