A Falling Snow Cube
There's people up on every roof these days. Shovelling snow as best they can. One guy fell off a roof at Huggarvägen in Västerhaninge a couple of days ago. He had to be taken to hospital with an ambulance, but these guys at Ringvägen seemed to know what they were doing. I shouted to them that I was taking some photos, and they smiled for a bit before continuing with the snow removal business. This is one of many three story buildings in this area. I lived in an apartment here for a few years in the mid 1980's. I can't remember anyone shovelling snow from the roof back then.

i'd love to see one of those cubes crashed on the ground! nice shot :)
This is a dangerous job. They should be wearing harnesses. You captured the situation well.
Holy cow, that's an ice cube all right.
Nice shot

a very interesting post for skywatch...
I never thought of people shoveling snow off roofs. Sorry to hear it's so dangerous. :(
So, have they cut this cube from the snow-pack on this roof? Amazing that it is such a perfect cube shape!

Another job I would never want to do.
Looks like a very strenuous job, not to mention scary!
Oh, has it snowed in Sweden lately? I didn't know...
Unusual. Good shot.

Good title, great capture.
A hard and uneasy job, that cube of snow is amazing.
It would look better if it was ice I think Lisa!
There was a few more people up there and I think they were wearing harnesses.
I'm guessing they have worked out how best to remove the snow and came up with the cube idea, for which I'm very happy as it made my photo better Chuck!
Living in an area where it doesn't snow, it's easy for you to imagine how much this amazes me!
