The Scent of Summer

A Summer Photo

Nothing says summer like a blooming rapeseed field. And luckily for me there's always a few fields in Haninge to photograph every summer. You will find this curved field in Österhaninge. I think the land here is farmed by Rolf Norlin whom you met on this blog two years ago. If you walk into that forest in the background you will find end up in the Gullringskärrets nature reserve, something I have done a few times. I shot this on Wednesday and it is now my new desktop photo.

Skywatch Friday.

A Field of Yellow

View From a Field

It's that time of the year when the rapeseed fields bloom. A little earlier then I'm used to, but it's been that kind of a year. This is the view from a golden rape field in Kalvsvik in rural Österhaninge. I took a walk around the field and took a bunch of photos. The red building to the left is the art gallery. Then follows the church school and then Sankta Gertruds Church with the leaning tower.

Summer Landscape Me

Rural Landscape Me

I live in a rural area of Haninge. It has changed much over the last years, but there are still a few farmers left. Here you see me at the rapeseed field at Nedersta. The field was shining bright yellow with a scent to match. I stopped to photograph two pheasants, but they ran off, so I took this self portrait instead. Just before that I stopped at a horse pasture.
