At Winters End

At Winters End

If you want to believe the meteorologists spring is now officially here. So when I noticed this digger on top of a snow mound at Nedersta Gärde this afternoon I figured it would be a good way to say goodbye to this long and cold winter. I have created a flickr set with my 2010/2011 winter shots, so feel free to have a look at those.

Winter Construction

Digger

Winter Construction

Despite the long winter a few new houses are still being built at Ålsta in Tungelsta. I started shooting the changes in this area five years ago. Back then there was a few plant nurseries, a stable and a few houses here. Five years on it's hard to believe that it's the same place. If you have a few hours check out the slideshow.

Toy 4 A Big Boy

Toy 4 A Big Boy

I guess most boys played with a toy digger or toy excavator in the sandbox when they were young, I know I did. So after seeing this digger at Vallåkra in Tungelsta it's not so strange that I wanted to have a go (but I didn't). I wonder if the owner isn't really just a big kid, I'm sure he sneaks out at night when no one sees him and plays with this digger.
