Do you have any mushrooms?
Hötorget. The haymarket in Stockholm, always a busy place where you can buy mushrooms, football shirts or maybe a new pair of mittens for the coming winter. Always to a very special price for you, my friend. Speaking of Winter, here is an interesting story. A century ago my great grandparents sold their produce at this square. To get here they either travelled on a horse carriage for a few hours, or if they were lucky they took the first train of the day to Stockholm. The only problem with that was that they first had to walk 10 kilometers in the snow to the train station in Handen, the end station back in the day. I know this thanks to a recording that an author made with my grandfather many years ago.

That mushroom display is wonderful and that story of your great parents also. No global warming in those days.
An eclectic mix of wares.
This looks like a great market. I love the story of your grandparents.
What a great market, looks like that is the place to go. Quite the story of your great grandparents, life sure was harder back in the day.
Looks like a great market. Love the story about your parents.
Ah geez. Those who came before us were so sturdy. While your great-grandparents were living with the cold, there were other Swedes who were battling the heat (along with my great grandparents). There are counties to the south of me and to the north of me with big landowners....Swedish. Here's a real estate ad that actaully tells some history!

We mostly have the button mushrooms here, you pretty much have to go to a specialty shop to get any of the others.
