Visiting the Mörkö island in Södertälje kommun with two of the usual suspects on a cold Winter day. We drove down to Skanssundsleden,(sea lane), in Grödinge where we took the very short ferry ride with M/S Karin to Mörkö. The ferry got it's name from Queen Karin Månsdotter. It is a picturesque drive through a rural country to get here. This is Hörningsholms castle. It sits high up on a cliff overlooking the Södertäljeleden. This castle dates back to 1750. It was built by Nils Bonde. A previous castle was burnt to the ground by Russian troops in 1719. The castle in not open to the public. It is still owned by the Bonde family.

Such a conflict about the rich. This is a beautiful building and is still there to remind us of the past. So I am grateful for that. And this building also reminds us that it is all temporary. And that's a good reminder too. Ah well, I'll quit. We've been having Swedish weather (well, sort of) in Texas. Evidently I become too talkative. Wouldn't do in Scandinavia, right?
I think you will find that there are many talkative people over here as well as more quiet people in Texas Judith. The Bonde family dates back a long time. They even had a king back in the day but that was 620 years ago.
