No Shopping Frenzy

Dry Cleaner
No shopping frenzy at the Västerhaninge shopping center yesterday afternoon. The pub to the right was very popular pre-Covid19, especially the outdoor area during the Summer months, no idea if they will there when this is all over.

yes the economic impact of the pandemic will most likely be long lasting ... we, in the US, have some busy street scenes although I avoid them for my own safety.

I think we will lose quite a few businesses through this pandemic. I've been trying to support the smaller places.

Our empty centres are a little eerie, I find. Yes, we will surely lose some familiar names from our streets.

Nice night shot.

Our pubs are still closed and they can't open unless they have a kitchen that can serve food. I'm sure that some will go onder.

It looks very quiet.

Our restaurants are socially distanced, but relying principally on take out.

There was a fire here earlier in the year so the big Coop store is undergoing a renovation at the moment. There are plans to redo the entire shopping center in a year or two and build a lot of apartments, as well as new shops here. It sits next to the bus terminal and commuter station.
