Swedish word of the day. Serpentinväg. New hairpin turn at Vegastaden. The new pedestrian bridge crosses the railway line Nynäsbanan at the new commuter station that will open for traffic in April. There is only one entrance so if you live at the "wrong" end this is the path you will have to use to and from the new commuter station.

Gosh Vegastaden is altogether a huge project Steffe, will it actually have the status of a city?

Not a city Grace just a Stadsdel, Quarter. The name Vega has a funny story to it. Back in 1880 the barque S/S Vega arrived to the seaside resort Dalarö. The ship was the first one to complete a voyage through the Northeast Passage, and the first vessel to circumnavigate the Eurasian continent, during the Vega expedition. A man that saw the ship arrive was so impressed that he named his home, a house in Handen after the ship. Many years later roads in that area got their name after the Vega Expedition and the quarter became known as Vega.
What a massive project. The bridge looks like it will be a beauty.
