Johanna

Johanna

This is Johanna. I first noticed her at the bakery and cafe this afternoon where she was applying for a job. A bit later I saw her again near a Supermarket and decided to ask her for a portrait. Johanna is a student at the Riksäpplet secondary school, where she is reading studying the hotel and restaurant programme. Johanna told me that she is a good baker and is always experimenting with different cake recipes, but that she will never eat the cakes, she leaves that for friends and family! The reason for that is that she wants to stay fit. She used to compete both in horse riding and tennis, but for now she only works out at the gym. I hope Henrik will give her the job so that she can serve me coffee and one of her cakes at the cafe this spring!

She is a cute girl. I am ready for warm weather and sitting outside at cafes.

What discipline she has...but you can see she means it because she seems very fit indeed.

You would be a lucky man if she served you cakes and coffee. She's a doll!

No cakes, how sad! The back story is great as is the photo. Still snowy.

Everyone has commented on her beauty, and rightly so. How nice it would be to have her as the person pouring your coffee and serving you cake. Also enjoyed the link you provided.

Your portraits continue to be excellent! You really bring out what is inside the "victims".
Excellent work!

I hope she's pleased with this fine portrait you've made. Wonderful catch light in her eyes. You are so good at these portraits now, Steffe. Practice does indeed make perfect. Thank you for this long series of introducing us to the people you meet while out shooting. What is your total now? You must have passed the "100 Strangers" goal X4 by now, I would think. Your portraits would make a stunning gallery show (and so would your multiple seasons series shots, which I would really love to see you publish in book form!).

She's a beautiful Swedish gal!

...where she is STUDYING..... (a common English mistake made by Swedes. "hon lasar...") studying vs. reading - just a little English tip from a former English teacher

Skal on St. Patrick's Day! Cheers!
