Winter Cottage
A typical Swedish cottage. Painted red with the traditional Falu Red paint. Today these types of old houses are normally used as summer houses. You will find more than 500 000 cottages like this one around Sweden. Preferably close to the coast. This one can be seen in Lida, only one hundred meters away from the house I showed you two days ago.

You sure it's not made of gingerbread? Looks like Santa's little cottage. Very nice shot, very postcard-ly.
Wonderful image.
Very nice!
I have actually stayed in one ( en rød stuga?? ) near Simrishamn one November weekend two years back.
It was fantastic, very comfortable and warm. And with a view over to Denmark on a clear day! Skåne was so beautiful, and had so many nice places to visit.
These red cottages are picturesque, especially surrounded by the snow.
That's a dreamy photo! The Christmas "candles" in the window make it look even more cozy! I'd love to stay there for a week and cross-country ski with my family! Godt Nytt Ar Steffe Meister!
une photo qui fait rêver et carte de noël. J'adore cette maison sous la neige....
Does anyone use that entrance? Or perhaps no one has come out to shovel the steps yet.
I love this little cottage. It looks so cute and cosy!
The red really stands out in the snow! That is a pretty scene.
That looks like a prefect winter picture.
Wish I were there :-)
This snow pic sequence is brilliant! Love them all!
Are you sure people do not hibernate there?
This looks like a film scene, not a real home for real people...
Thanks for sharing such Cristmasy scenes with us!
My grandparents have a similar house in a forest in Sweden , and we go to this hause every winter and take an amazing vacations.
