Sky Watch Friday

Magpie on the lookout

Nothing beats a blue sky. After days and weeks with grey skies,(at least that is what it feels like), snow and rain, it was nice to see that the sky opened up once again. As I never leave home without a camera I stopped mid way down a tree lined avenue here in Tungelsta at Lida and zoomed in on a magpie that was sitting high up on a rusty lamp post. This is my first post to Sky Watch Friday.

I've never lived near magpies, so they don't annoy me like they do some. But when I've visited their homes, they do not pose for pictures for me. This is fantastic!

Thanks all for stopping by. I have a thing for blue skies, and I have a flickr set called Blue Yonder, where you photograph a single object against a clear blue sky. And I have a set dedicated to a magpie family!
