That Old Tree

That Old Tree

A bit misty on my latest visit to the old tree at Välsta. A few horseback riders nearby, the path was icy, but I could see the grass here and there so spring is around the corner! Have a look at the slideshow and see all 82 photos of this beautiful old oxel.

Damm it! this is really beautiful!!
Sometimes I wonder about these trees.. If you look carefully you can imagine those branches are like roots, and it's like someone has just flipped the tree... you know what I mean?

I love this one. Even though I will never see it in person, every time you post a photograph, it's like a visit from an old friend. Thanks.

I have now gone through your whole site, since I found it a couple of days ago. i lived in Krigslida from 55 to 74, with some return visits, and it brings back wonderful memories. A lot of the places I can place, and some I just recognize, without remembering exactly where they are. Great photograpy!

Thanks all. I know what you mean dsole. What can I say jude, it's my favorite tree. I did a version of this as a poster over at tabblo, here is a link:

Beautiful - I love leafless trees - they're my favorite for artistic shots. :)
