André & Felicia
It was a warm and sunny summer day, and when I spotted this couple coming towards me on their inline skates in Handen, I knew I had to take their picture. This is André Leckremo and his fiancée Felicia. They live in Handen. Felicia used to be one of the many girls out here who was into horseback riding, but has now given up that hobby. She works at the nearby Quality Winn Hotel. André works as a klottersanerare (try google that) and is a very good ice hockey player. He is a defenceman and plays for Haninge HC. And he visits the gym every now and then. I figured this would be a perfect summer portrait and I'm quite happy with the photo.

You should be happy with this one. It's an excellent portrait of youth, love, health, joy.
agree, so you should be. They look good.
This is really nice, Steffe. I read it with interest and the young couple seem to be very happy. Nice portrait as usual.
You will need to tell us sometimes about your camera and how you introduce yourself to strangers to take their picture. It will help some people who are more timid about it.
I'm happy you're happy. They're happy, too.
A nicely put-together young woman!
Easy on these old tired eyes, she is.
Oh, wait, was there a man in the picture, too?
You Swedes look so healthy and fit! But I don't think all that sun is good for your Nordic skin (spoken as someone who has had melanoma on his Irish-Polish skin).
She can come to Bribie Island anytime... HAHA
Great pic Steffe!
A good-looking Svensk couple! Were you on your bike? I'm happy you're happy. I'm happy they're happy! I'm happy Jacob is happy that you're happy! That all makes me happy, too! What a happy, happy posting!
Great post for the day.
Both of them look good don't they?
I agree. Another excellent portrait. Go ahead, tell us what you said just as you were taking the photo to make them smile like that.
vive l'été ;) un beau couple
Nice couples portrait. They must have been having fun in the sun on those skates!
I do have a routine when I approach someone, although it is probably a bit every time different depending on the situation. I normally ask if they have a few minutes to spare and then quickly explain about flickr and this blog. Sometimes I will tell people what attracted me to them. The camera is my old Canon a 300 Digital Rebel that has seen it's best days. When I walk up to someone the camera is always in the bag. And I often ask my questions first and write down all the facts before I take the photos. Sometimes I ask people to smile or just pose as they like. If there's a good background nearby I will try to use that. I give everyone my card with contact information. And I also give everyone the chance to look at the photos then and there.
Thank you, Steffe, for the answer. It is a good routine you have gone through each time. And it apparently works. I also like the idea that you give them your card. They can use that to see what they look like on their computers at home. Thanks a lot.
I am still making history on my Pick a Peck of Pixels blog. Today I posted a Zebra Butterfly with long tails. He is as big as your hand. Most have never seen one. Now you can see one at
Pick a Peck of Pixels
You are very skilled and i admire the immanent peace of the blog.
What a cute couple! They look so happy.
What is a klottersanerare? I tried without success: something about scribbling, but makes no sense.
Interesting to know about you routine and your 'tools'.
Excellent portrait! Just a sweet couple!
He works in graffiti removal. So his title could be translated to something like Graffiti Removal Man.
Wish I could skate, then I might be able to get rid of my big belly and have more of a fitter looking body. Just have poor balance and co-ordination.
what a wonderful view of summer
