Arty-farty

Not 4 concrete slabs Spot the artwork
I always try to keep my eyes open for anything new when I'm out and about. I guess that is something most photographers do. So I did spot these four concrete slabs that someone had dumped on a lawn near Poseidon's Square in Handen. A few days later they were still there and I started thinking that it might be some sort of art installation. So I asked my buddy Jim to meet me at the new "sculpture". when I got there he was standing on the concrete slabs. When he saw me he said, didn't you say that there's supposed to be a new art installation or sculpture somewhere around here? I cant find it. Then, when he sat down I told him that he was sitting on it. True story, promise!

The old school

Speed walking

Tungelsta gamla skola

This can sometimes happen when you are speedwalking...

The building in the background is the old school in Tungelsta. I was a student there for one year as a first grader back in the early 1970s. My mother Lillemor Jansson was a student there for six years, between 1945 and 1951, as was my paternal grandfather Harald Fredrik Jansson, who started third grade here when the school was brand new back in 1913 and it is his class photo you can see here.

Sweden Rocks

Sweden Rocks

Three copies of the coolest calendar ever arrived in the mail yesterday. It's called Sweden Rocks. It features photos of some of the best Swedish rock artists today. Amon Amarth, Crucified Barbara, Dead by April, Dia Psalma, Hammerfall, Mando Diao, Millencolin, Motörhead, Opeth, Sonic Syndicate, The Hives and The Soundtrack of Our Lives. And it's all for a good cause. The calendar comes from Animal Rights Sweden. Oh, and one of the featured photographers is yours truly. My photo can be seen on the October page where you can also see a photo of Mikkey Dee from Motörhead. If you would like a copy you can order one here.

I need more clones!

Spring Clones

The weather has been amazing the last couple of days and it looks like it is going to stay like this for a few more. So I'm lacking behind when it comes to fixing my photos. No one wants to stay indoors when it's summer outside. I should have posted a photo from an old viking road today but it will have to wait another day. So today I give you some of my clones instead. This is Photography Clone, Literate Clone, Lazy Ass Clone and Just Sitting There Clone. It was a good day for the clones.

Another hot day at Bergdalen

A few of the clones started the day by reading the morning paper and drinking a cup of tea. Lazy clone (to the right) figured it was better to go back to bed.

Have a look at the right. Behind Bug Chasing Clone. That's Evil Clone. He was going to cut down all the flowers but we stopped him in time. Another warm and sunny day here in Sweden today. Possibly the last one, but you never know. All the clones are holding their fingers crossed and are hoping for another summer's day tomorrow.

Clones in Jordbro

It is Clones week at Haninge Daily Photos this week.

Amazing weather today. The clones suggested that we would go out and take some autumn photos. Here you can see three of them resting and/or posing on a bench at the ancient grave field in Jordbro.

Me and the clones

My serious side

A very misty and gray day in Tungelsta. Me and the clones sat out on the veranda feeling miserable. I guess you could say that summer is over now, but you never know!
