A picturesque walk

The spa Chilly day for it Fagerviken Trehörningen Missing lighthouse 1968 Pontiac Catalina You don't say Contraption of the day A fleeting memory Trehörningen Nynäs Havsbad Reed bed Villa Sjövik Rocky beach Waiting Area Albatross The yellow hut
My friend Hasse wanted to go for another promenade. He is recovering from a back issue so he walks a little slower than usual and prefers a somewhat shorter walk, so we drove to the port city of Nynäshamn and walked the picturesque part of Strandvägen. Lots to photograph during that walk so that is what I did. In the seventh photo you can see Hasse chatting away with the man that operated the Lövhagen Café & Vandrarhem for three decades. And half an hour after that chat we enjoyed coffee and cake from that place. It was a chilly day but plenty of people out and about as you can see. The spa in the first photo is called Nynäs Havsbad. Strandvägen is a ring road and is one way for most of it, unless you are a cyclist. There was a classic car rally here a few weeks ago which I missed so when I heard the Pontiac I quickly turned around for a photo. The photos with houses on them are from an islet called Trehörningen. There are a few small beaches along this stretch but it was a little too cold for sunbathing on this day.

Monteliusvägen

Monteliusvägen The Knights' Islet What is that over there? Gamla stan Kullerstensgata Sköna maj Park entrance Olle Adolphson
A few times every year I park my bike at Mariatorget, a square on Södermalm and from there I walk up the cobblestone street to the lookout point that is Monteliusvägen at Mariaberget. I never get bored with the views over the Riddarholmen bay, the knight's islet and the old town. An extra bonus in May is of course all the greenery. And it is always fun to get some visiting tourists and locals in the photos. The bust shows Olle Adolphson in the park with his name.

Bondens marknad

At the market Going to the market Ingefärashot A left-leaning guy A pair of jeans maybe? Shopping for books Music lover At the market Farmers market Dramatenväska
A while back now I visited Bondens marknad at Katarina bangata on Södermalm in Stockkholm. The first one this season. It starts at Götgatan as a farmer's market and the further in you go, under the green canopy, it turns into a flea market. Always very crowded. Fine weather on this day. The smiling guy in the red t-shirt is a bit of a local legend. Usually he will arrive on his bicycle and play very loud music during street parties and what have you, but on this day he was just selling his left-leaning political t-shirts.
